Animal Emergency Medical Center was founded by Dr. Jonnie Quantz in May of 2000 with the goal of providing the community with a 24 hour emergency and critical care veterinary hospital. Over the years, AEMC has grown to incorporate multiple specialty services, including internal medicine, and surgery. Currently, AEMC features five full-time emergency and critical care veterinarians headed by a Diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care, two Diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a veterinarian devoted to the care of the avian and exotic species. Additionally, AEMC employs and trains highly skilled veterinary nurses (technicians) including seven Registered Veterinary Technicians. This team of veterinary professionals is devoted to providing the best possible care for your animal companion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Animal Emergency Medical Center is committed to providing quality emergency, critical care, and specialty services to our patients; courteous and sympathetic service to our clients; and clear communication of these services to our referring veterinarians.
We believe in the optimum medical care for all animals. To accomplish this Animal Emergency Medical Center must hold itself accountable:
To provide an environment conducive to the advancement of the veterinary specialties by the development of educational and training programs for all team members.
To provide leadership in the integration of specialty veterinary medicine with general care veterinary medicine.
To provide an environment that promotes integration of the veterinary specialties by encouraging dialogue, problem solving, and respect between the specialties.
